Privacy Policy

Overview

Bellamonte Professional (the legal entity V.P. Distribution, “Bellamonte,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) is a B2B-only wholesale distributor of professional salon products. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from licensed salon owners, professionals, and their authorized buyers (“you”) when you visit bellamontepro.com or use our online ordering, account, and communication services (collectively, the “Services”).

We do not sell direct to consumers, and we never sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Information we collect

We collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information: business name, business address, license number where required, primary contact name, email address, phone number, and the names and emails of any additional staff you authorize on your account.
  • Order information: products ordered, quantities, prices, ship-to/bill-to addresses, payment method (processed by our payment provider; we do not store full card numbers), purchase orders, and order history.
  • Communication records: emails, support tickets, phone-call notes, and SMS messages between you and our team or your assigned sales representative.
  • Site usage: pages visited, links clicked, device and browser type, IP address, approximate location, and similar technical data collected via cookies and analytics (see Cookies & tracking).
  • Mobile information: if you opt in to text messaging from us, your mobile number and your opt-in consent record.

How we use information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Verify your eligibility as a licensed salon professional.
  • Process and fulfill orders, manage payments, and arrange shipping.
  • Provide customer service, including order updates and returns.
  • Coordinate with your assigned sales representative and warehouse staff.
  • Send transactional notifications (order confirmations, shipping updates, invoice reminders) by email or SMS where you have opted in.
  • Send periodic product news, promotions, and pricing updates if you have subscribed to those messages.
  • Improve our website, product mix, and ordering experience.
  • Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.
  • Protect against fraud and unauthorized access.

Sharing of information

We share information only as needed to operate our business:

  • Service providers — companies that help us operate the Services (e.g. our e-commerce platform Shopify, our payment processor, our email and SMS providers, our shipping carriers, our hosting provider Vercel). They are bound by confidentiality and may use your information only to perform services for us.
  • Brand partners — we may share aggregated, non-identifying purchase trend data with the brands we distribute (e.g. Artégo, Vieso, Malina) to forecast demand. We do not share individual account-level data with brand partners without your permission.
  • Legal & safety — when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our customers, our team, or the public.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to the acquirer continuing to honor the commitments in this policy.

We do not sell, rent, or trade your information to third parties for their independent marketing.

Mobile opt-in data and SMS consent records are never shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. SMS consent and the associated phone numbers are used only to deliver messages you have asked to receive from us.

SMS / text messaging

By providing your mobile number and opting in to receive text messages from Bellamonte Professional (e.g. checking the SMS consent box at registration, on your account page, or by texting a keyword we publish), you agree to receive recurring transactional and promotional text messages from us at the number you provided. Consent to receive SMS is not a condition of any purchase.

  • Message frequency: message frequency varies based on your account activity and the programs you have subscribed to. You may receive up to ten (10) messages per month for promotional content, plus order-related transactional messages as needed.
  • Message and data rates may apply. Standard rates from your wireless carrier apply. Bellamonte Professional does not charge for the messages themselves.
  • Opting out: reply STOP to any message to opt out of SMS communications at any time. After you reply STOP we will send one final confirmation that you have been unsubscribed and you will not receive further SMS from that program.

  • Supported carriers: messages may not be deliverable to all carriers and we are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Major U.S. carriers and most resellers are supported.

Mobile information sharing: as stated above, your mobile information (including mobile phone number and SMS opt-in status) is not shared with any third party or affiliate for their marketing or promotional purposes.

Cookies & tracking

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your cart, and measure how the site is used. You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings, but parts of the site (sign-in, cart, checkout) may not function correctly without them.

We use Vercel Web Analytics and may use Google Analytics for aggregate usage statistics. These tools may collect IP addresses and approximate location for the purpose of producing non-identifying aggregate reports.

Data security

We use commercially reasonable physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards to protect your information. Account authentication is handled by Shopify and our identity providers over encrypted (HTTPS / TLS) connections. Payment processing is handled by PCI-compliant payment processors; full card numbers never touch our servers.

No system is perfectly secure. If you suspect your account has been compromised, contact us immediately at the address below.

Data retention

We retain account, order, and tax records for as long as your account is active and for an additional period afterward as required by U.S. tax and business-records law (typically 7 years). Communication logs are retained for up to 3 years for customer-service and dispute resolution. SMS opt-in consent records are retained for the life of the subscription plus 3 years to evidence consent if questioned.

Your rights

You may, at any time:

  • Update your account information from your dashboard.
  • Unsubscribe from email marketing using the link in any marketing email.
  • Reply STOP to any SMS message to opt out of text marketing.
  • Request a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or request that we correct or delete it, by contacting us using the information below. We will respond within 30 days.
  • If you reside in California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, or another U.S. state with comprehensive privacy legislation, you may have additional rights under that law, including the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell or share personal information for those purposes.

Children's privacy

Our Services are intended for licensed beauty professionals acting on behalf of a business. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, and our Services are not directed to children under 13. If you believe we have collected information from a child, please contact us so we can delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page indicates the most recent revision. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or by a prominent notice in your dashboard before the changes take effect.
